UFO enthusiasts were in Maine for an Experiencers Speak conference in Maine to share their experiences and stories of close encounters as well as to listen from speakers who claim to have been abducted by beings not from Earth.
Lots of people attended the conference in Gorham to hear speakers who have claimed they have been experiencing alien abduction.
The organizers of the successful conference were twin sisters Audrey and Debbie Hewins from Mechanic Falls, who founded a team aiming to provide national support to extraterrestrial abductees.
Travis Walton was the keynote speaker. Walton is the author of “Fire in the Sky” and a self-proclaimed abductee in 1975 at a national forest in Arizona woods. He claims that he held captive for 5 days. Author Kathy Marden is another featured speaker in the conference. Marden is the one who wrote the alien abduction story of Betty and Barney Hill, her aunt and uncle respectively. The story became popular in the 1960s.
Some people at the conference said that their experiences have really changed their lives big time.
May Marie Cagampang, one of the attendees, said she came to meet people from Maine who were abducted by aliens like her.
The 27-year-old Cagampang said she was abducted 2 years ago while walking in Bangor around 2 in the morning. He met human-like beings that were so tall that she referred as the “wizard people” because they were sending spiritual message to earthbound humans. She said that the wizard people were saying to him to be happy and as loving as possible.
