On the morning of August 12, Tuesday, a local DJ in Houston started posting UFO photos. The story was picked by a local news bureau and has caught the interest of many locals who are wondering the real identity of the mysterious lights.
The sightings reportedly began on Monday night until the next morning. NBC affiliate in Houston, KPRC, featured the story when the posts about it became trending in Twitter courtesy of @djnayyz who also posted the photos about it in Instagram, showing round lights in the skies above east Houston. DJ Nayyz has been giving little information on the images. The only information included on the images is that the UFO was captured over Houston’s east side.
Another witness who calls himself Mr. Rastafarian posted an image of a UFO on his Twitter account but not much information on it with just a caption “Look closely lol.”
Many people believe that the lights are windshield reflection of lamps in the highway. They notice the similarity between the circular lights and the highway lamps.
One commenter who claimed to be a friend of DJ Nayyz even replied that he believes it is a reflection of the highway lights on the glass door.
Meanwhile, an online video made rounds on the internet showing some mysterious lights over southeast Houston this time. This was reported by DJ Nayyz on his Instagram page and KPRC used it as a follow-up news story. Musician Andrew Pena originally posted this video who apparently caught some lights on Monday evening while trying to take a video of the lightning. However, many believe this video recording even more to be a light reflection inside the car of Pena reflecting on the vehicle’s windshield.
Reporter Ryan Kosgard of KPRC showed the video on his phone to the visitors of Houston Museum of Natural Science, including the museum’s vice president for astronomy Dr. Carolyn Summers, who is currently writing a show on UFOs. She said that it’s necessary to know what else UFOs could be aside from saying they’re aliens.
She also explained that UFOs are interesting and exciting topics because they are the things that can’t be explained all the way back to recorded history.
KPRC has promised to continue monitoring on the case and will give updates regarding this UFO issue.
